SyncML Sync Service - Palm with Web OS


 

The SyncML Sync Service for Palm with Web OS product will allow you to perform a wireless synchronize with your Office-Logic or  WebMail\WebScheduler data, and access your Office-Logic or WebMail e-mail with a Palm (Web OS) device. 

 

SyncML Sync Service for Palm with Web OS performs a direct wireless synchronization through your Office-Logic InterChange server.  Appointments, Contacts, and To-Do lists are synchronized immediately and automatically

 

Always have access to, and be able to manage your:

  • E-mail.

  • Personal, Group, and Shared Appointments.

  • Multiple Defined Address Books.

  • User and Global To-Do Lists.

The SyncML Sync Service requires Office-Logic InterChange and a current Office-Logic InterChange Updates, Support, & Enhancements (USE) Agreement.  If you have any questions about your USE Agreement status, then please contact our Sales department

 

 


Instructions for the SyncML Sync Service for Palm with Web OS 30-day trial to synchronize either your Office-Logic or WebMail\WebScheduler Calendar and Contacts. 

 

Make sure you are running the latest version of Office-Logic InterChange v4.x.  You can always see a listing of enhancements and changes that have been made to Office-Logic InterChange v4.x at

OLIC Changes

  • If you are currently running Office-Logic InterChange v4.x, and have a current Office-Logic InterChange Updates, Support, & Enhancements (USE) Agreement, then download and install the latest Office-Logic InterChange v4.x from OLInterChange.htm

  • If you are currently running Office-Logic InterChange v3.x, then please contact our Sales department to verify your USE Agreement status and receive your upgrade Office-Logic InterChange v4.x activation code(s) if qualified.

  • If you are not using Office-Logic InterChange, then please contact our Sales department to get detailed product information and pricing.  Our Support department will be happy to assist you in installing a 30-day trial of Office-Logic InterChange.

Once the latest version 4.x of Office-Logic InterChange has been installed:

  1. From any workstation, login to the user's account that will be running the SyncML Sync Service for Droid\Android\Google 30-day trial using a web browser (WebMail interface).

  2. Click on the Options icon and then the Synchronization icon. 

  3. From the Synchronization menu, select the Address Books that you would like to synchronize with your device, and the number of days before and after to synchronize your appointments. 

  4. Click on the Save button to save your settings.

 


E-mail access for your Palm with Web OS device:

 

  1. Tap the Mail icon on the home dock.

    NOTE: If there are no email addresses created, the Palm Pre prompts you to log into the phone using Palm Pre credentials.

  2. From the Email menu, select Preferences & Accounts.
  3. Tap Add Account.
  4. From the Email menu, select Manual Setup.
  5. From the Mail Type list, select IMAP (preferred) or POP.
  6. In the Email Address field, enter your full email address.
  7. Complete the Incoming Mail Server information as follows:
    Server Name
    Your Office-Logic InterChange server name (for example: mail.yourdomain.com)
    Username
    Your Office-Logic username
    Password
    Your Office-Logic password
    Encryption
    No encryption - None
    Encryption - SSL
    Port (should automatically display correct port)
    IMAP without SSL - 143
    IMAP with SSL - 993
    POP without SSL - 110
    POP with SSL - 995
  8. Complete Outgoing Mail Server information as follows:
    Server Name
    Your Outgoing Server
    Use Authentication
    On (required)
    Encryption
    Encryption - TLS (recommended)
    No encryption - None
    Port
    25
    Root Folder
    Leave blank
  9. Tap the Sign In button

 


Instructions for setting up your Palm with Web OS to run SyncML Sync Service:

 

  1. Go into Calendar
  2. Select Menu at top of screen
  3. Select Preferences & Accounts
  4. Select Add an account
  5. Select Exchange
  6. Enter your E-mail address
  7. Enter your Password
  8. Touch Sign in
  9. Under incoming mail server:
    • Type the location of your Office-Logic InterChange server (i.e.: https://mail.mydomain.com or http://mail.server.com)
  10. Skip Domain
  11. Enter your Office-Logic Username
  12. Enter your Office-Logic Password
  13. Touch Sign in
